Pathfinder Games Area

The £2.7 million Play Pathfinder funding from the Department of Children Schools and Families (DCSF) is to develop a number of play spaces across Sandwell. The Play Pathfinder Project - aimed at children aged five to 13 years, is an innovative two year project in which 28 play spaces will be developed in Sandwell. It is expected that 16 sites will be developed in 2009/10 with a further 12 sites the following year.

During March 2010 a new play area was installed in Red House under the Pathfiner programme..The following equipment was installed .

  • A Zip wire
  • Large Climbing Frame
  • Small Climbing Frame that spins round
  • Four Metre High Double Activity Spacenet
  • Cable Ride - proposed to be 45 metres long which is the longest cable ride in the Borough.
