2008 News and Events

This year saw the completion of fencing around the lower pool.

The idea of a Skateboard Park was raised but itas there is to be one in Dartmouth Park there will not be one for Red House.

2008 was concerned with planning the repairs to the tennis courses and obelisk as well as improving the overall quality of the park.

A number of events were held this year.

28th June - Beach Party

29th June - RED HOUSE PARK FUNDAY

Over a 1000 people turned up to enjoy the fun of the day with stalls and attractions.

We had entertainment from - CLOWNS,• STORYTELLERS,• PUNCH AND JUDY, AND A REAL MINATURE STEAM ENGINE.

The timetable for the arena was follows;
11.00 - 12.00 - The Hamstead Dragons
12.00 - 1.00 - The Manic Mutts-dancing dogs display
1.00 - 3.00 - The Dog Show
3.00 - 4.00 - Line dancing display.

17th August - Band Concert

21st DECEMBER 2008 - SANTA IN THE PARK

This year children were able to visit Santa in his Grotto in the entrance of the Red House.


Thomas, age 3, from Lichfield telling Santa what he wants for Christmas

The event ran from 12.30 and was very well attended.
