News 2009

The new year saw the planting of 380 new roses around the Red House.

Theft of lead from the roof of the Red House led to work having to be done to the roof with lead being replaced by synthetic materials that have no value.

This year the tennis courts were refurbished at a cost of £40,000. These were well received and have been well used since being opened. Unfortunately vandals damaged some nets and they had to be replaced.

This years Fun Day was held on 28th June.

During the summer the obelisk was repaired.

A Band Day was held in August.

A Bat walk was held in September and the Friends are purchasing bat detactors to help with future events.

The Santa in the Park event completed the years activities on 6th December.
